Superficial.

Today, I realised just how superficial and shallow I am-

I subscribe to makeup gurus on YouTube or on blogs only if they're pretty (save for Enkore/Koren because he's awesome, haha.)

And only if they can speak/write English well. Even if they fake an accent (but only if they can sustain it, haha. I've watched this particular video where this girl couldn't decide if she wanted an American or a British accent so she was slipping in and out all over the place.)

RAWWR. THE TIME TO LEAVE THE OFFICE IS NEAR!

I realise I don't have any Saturdays to sleep in for the rest of the month, because I have exciting stuff lined up for me!

First up on the list would be a 3D2N trip to a kelong in Batam with boyfriend <3 And family, of course. I'll be leaving this Friday. And this time round, I'll do my best to wake up early to catch the sunrise (: And make the most of my days there fishing. Of course, I won't be forgetting the spot of shopping on the last day before we head back home.

AND A&W.

OHMYGOD.

THERE'S A&W THERE.

CURLY FRIES FTW!

Next week isn't something really exciting, cuz I'll have to wake up early for my eye check. But after that, it's gonna be a delicious lunch at Hot Tomato. Shall have to remember to make reservations so we can strut in and sit down while green-eyed customers glare daggers at us while they're queuing up. It's always funny to watch their reactions going like "OMGWTF! I'VE BEEN STANDING HERE FOR SO LONG AND THEY JUST WALK IN AND GET A TABLE?"

Reservations, darling. Reservations.

And in the week after that, I'll be going to JB with boyfriend and his mum. Just a day trip for shopping and much yums. Ahh, getting excited already. I wanna go crazy buying makeup, but there's the whole makeup ban and all............. I'll try to sneak something in my shopping basket for sure.

Meanwhile, it's boredom and pain in the office with nothing to do and menstrual cramps annoying the heck out of me. I want to read manga, but the number of people in school is slowly increasing, and the Internet is getting progressively slower. Even loading YouTube vids is such a pain.

I think I'm getting a migraine, either that or *something* is squeezing my head because there's this weird pressure on the right side.

Now my shoulder's hurting.

Bah.

Oh, and one more thing-

WRONG DOOR, PEOPLE. WRONG DOOR.

Sheesh.

Ohoh, and one last thing:

HAPPY (very belated) 22ND MONTHAVERSARY BABY! <3

I'll be the little piggy and you'll be the giant fluffy bunny (:

Routine

For the last week or so, the days have been slowly but surely, trudging by.

6:10AM (or so): I wake up to The Great Escape and relectantly switch off the alarm before it wakes the entire house up. I blearily inch to the kitchen to retrieve my towel, before shuffling back to the toilet for my morning ablutions.

6:25-30AM: I'm refreshed from my shower, awake momentarily from the relentless cold jets of water. I hang up my towel and if my mum's in the kitchen, I mumble a 'good morning' before I head back to my room.

6:30-7:00AM: I'm rifling through my (tiny) wardrobe, at a loss for what to wear, having to constantly remind myself that shorts aren't allowed (though I think I could probably get away with it, since the lecturers hardly visit us at the office anyway). I finally throw something on before I hurridly put on some makeup (cuz I'm vain that way, bitches). Every morning without fail, I curse the lighting of my room - the sun isn't fully up yet, casting odd shadows, there're yellow and white lights on the wrong sides of the room, plus my bookshelf blocking the light as well, making one side of my face darker than the other.

7:00-7:05AM: I leave the house and arrive at the bus stop to take 80 to Hougang Interchange. Interesting people here; there's usually this aunty who thinks she's oh-so-sexy with wayang makeup, tight tops hugging her many tires and blinged gladiators with her mop of tightly permed maggi-mee of hair dyed a berry red. Oh, and she looks like a frog too. Kinda what Dolores Umbridge would look like if she were older.

7:15-7:30AM: I idle at Hougang Interchange, waiting for 151. Sometimes I'm lucky, sometimes I'm not. But all the time, I get a seat =D

7:30-8:45AM: I sleep, I snooze, I laugh occasionally to myself as I listen to Dan and Young on 987FM as the bus jams all the way to school, amidst getting irritated by noisy people or people who snooze in the most compromising positions.

9:00-9:30AM: Breakfast.

9:30AM-12:00PM: I slack.

12:00-2:00PM: I eat.

2:00-5:30PM: I slack.

5:30-5:45PM: I pack up.

5:45PM: We return the office key to the Cage.

Then I'm on the bus usually by 6:10PM, and I jam all the way back home again.

Exam Results

I didn't put my phone on silent most in the end, and I got woken up at around 8AM with my message tone. The first thing I mumbled to myself was 'Exam results!' I grabbed my phone and immediately read the message, almost shrieking-

Advanced Public Relations: B
Book Writing & Publishing: A
Conventions and Exhibitions: B+
Effective Negotiation: B
Mass Media in Singapore & Asia: C
Media Law: B
World Issues: A Singapore Perspective: C+

And the icing on the cake: GPA 3.0

HAHAHAHAH.

My grade for MASINA was totally unexpected. I would have been totally happy with a D but God gave me a C instead (: And I'm really happy with my grade for BOOKPUB as well.

Other than MASINA, my grades were rather expected. Except for my GPA. Hahaha. The highest it had ever hit was 2.6 I think. My cumulative GPA, however, is still piss-shit, a measly 2.6. But hopefully I'll do really well for my internship and get an A or something to pull my GPA and up and hopefully, hopefully, hopefully, I can try to weasel my way into a University.

If not, I'll try to convince my parents to let me go overseas for further studies XD

Will be heading to Tampines 1 in a bit for a spot of shopping and Carl's Jr. Shall treat it as a celebratory lunch of sorts for my good grades.

Ahh~

Raaaaawr.

Ahh, excitement excitement.

No, not for the impending exam results (those can go to hell).

After a while of playing with my makeup and wondering why I wasn't getting my eyeshadow properly smoked out, I realised it's because I didn't have the proper brush. Trying to smoke out eyeshadow or even applying it properly to the crease with a flat shading brush is just total blah.

So, I went brush hunting and found a suitable blending brush at Sasa for a modest S$7.00 and was really tempted to buy it. But I decided not to. Because I really, really, really wanted to get the blending brush from Magical Tannsu cuz it's probably the closest MAC 224 dupe that I can get for under 10 bucks.

For S$9.90.

And after much deliberation (and worry that boyfriend would get angry for me buying a brush), I decided to go ahead and order one after Enping kept on going 'buy it, bao qi lai'.

My heart's being tweaked a little at the price cuz I bought a 7-piece brushset from her at only S$7.90, and the blending brush costs S$9.90. But whatever =P (and boyfriend isn't angry as well!)

I'll be collecting my brush this Saturday evening at 6PM, can't wait!

On another note, I can't wait for the exam results either because it would definitely put me out of my stomch-twisting, gut-wrenching and constipating misery I've had over the last few days. Blah.

Still debating on whether or not to put my phone on silent tonight.

Please, please, please let me (and all the monmons) pass MASINA.

Happy 21st Monthaversary!

I was very tempted to buy the Silkygirl Blockbuster (eyeshadow) Palette in Green Forest the other day, because Silkygirl was having a 20% discount.

Boyfriend, of course, refused to let me buy it, because I had only just gotten that palette in Bare Classics barely two or three weeks ago. Then again, I don't think I'd do very well with green. I'd better stick to my neutrals (no, it's not cognitive dissonance).

I really loved the bronze shade from the Green Forest palette though =(

And after looking at my collection of makeup, I have decided to impose on myself a makeup ban until I see five empty pans of makeup.

So, from now until I see five empty pans of makeup (eyeliner and lipbalm included, heehee), I will not purchase any form of cosmetics (unless mummy buys it for me, which is highly unlikely).

And I'm going to get my hair bleached, dyed and highlighted this Saturday! I can't wait. Haven't had dye touch my hair for the past two years. Quite apprehensive about bleaching my hair though, but if I don't, I might as well not dye my hair at all.

Major blehs.

I have the MEDUSA Facebook and Twitter page to put up, two chapters to proof and a website to complete.

So much for holidays. Haha.
