Journey

So I've cleared the first presentation to client.

Ah feck, that reminds me I have yet to send him the report.

Frankly speaking, I don't see why we need to send it to him, since he doesn't like our campaign.

What's wrong with a Singlish campaign, really? It's being spoken by (almost) everyone, everywhere, and all the time.

I still feel that because it's a uniquely Singaporean problem that we have, with people just looking for a quick MC, or being overly anxious, or thinking that their medical problem is the most important thing in the world, the A&E department is just chock full of such people.

Which is why we should have, no scratch that, it's why we need a Singaporean approach to this matter, and what better than a Singlish campaign?

All that talk about the hospital being an association, blah blah. It just boils down to you not wanting to explore other options, or being afraid of being associated with Singlish.

But isn't Singlish what makes us Singaporean? Isn't our funky blend of languages and dialect, and the plain laziness to form proper sentences that makes us us?

Not that I really want to be associated with Singaporeans because frankly, a lot of them gives the rest of the population of this tiny island a bad name, with the the lack of common sense, manners and well, brains.

But unfortunately, I was born and raised here and the food's good, so... yeah.

So we now have to start from scratch all over again, keeping only the mural and the pitching to parenting magazines.

Bah.
