My results turned out to be much better than I had anticipated. In fact, my results shocked me. In the good way, that is.
It was such a huge jump, such a huge improvement from my prelim grades.
I'm really deliriously happy.
And the grades (as printed on the results slip):
Eng - A1
Combined Humanities - A2
Mathematics - A2
Add. Mathematics - B3
Chemistry - B4
Biology - B3
CLB - Merit
L1R5 - 15
L1R4 - 11
Three distinctions, all As and Bs. (:
First off, there were some subjects I felt like I didn't really study for, i.e. Social Studies and Geog. Elect. I remember memorising Merger/Sep like mad before the SS paper, then vomitting as much as I could for SEQ, then stumbling and encountering many road blocks in SBQ. I felt that it was even tougher than the prelims, and that I was smoking my entire way through.
Then for English, I was so bloody worried that I wrote out of point for the essay. I can only remember what I wrote in bits and pieces now. I can remember Mdm. Frieda being disappointed with my choice of question, and so worried that I would totally screw up the entire paper.
But my worries were for naught (: But it's all good ^^
A/E Math, I really have to thank St. Kat for tahan-ing all my bullshit and my sub-standard work for the last 2 years. But without her, I really wouldn't have been able to do it. Sorry I got only 1 distinction, and it wasn't even an A1 ><>Praise the Lord! And I really have to thank Mdm. Frieda and Ms. Jo Yeow for teaching us back in sec 3.
For Chem, LiLian as really been God-sent. Without her, I would never have been able to even pass Chem. Thanks for all the weird but effective ways of memorising certain stuff (but I think everything has evaporated now, haha.) Thank you, once again!
After I got my results, I was so stunned, shocked and relieved at the same time that I actually broke down in the school hall in front of Mr Yap =.= But it was like this big weight had been lifted off me, that my worries could finally be put to rest. I can enjoy my CNY as well =3
Whoa, super-long entry as compared to the rest. Haha. There's more!
Went home, changed, then went out with Lee Peng and Nat to celebrate my good results. Went to PS to try my luck in getting my installation CD for my Zen Micro and I got it!! Whee~ After that, went walking around a little more, then we walked down to Orchard. Walked around Hereen for a while, then it was time to pig-out at The Vila'Ge! (thanks for the treat Lee Peng!). Ordered a rosti with cheese pork sausage, a pizza with capsicum, chicken, shrimp, mushroom and pineapple toppings, Lee Peng ordered a pork chop (and I stole his mashed potatoes -le gaspeh!-), then Nat bought a one-litre jug of Erdinger beer (still think it tastes like Heineken though =/).
All in all, I had a very good time. God has turned out to be so good, even when I was doing so many things I wasn't supposed to. I thank God for giving me such good results. And now I hope that God will continue to bless me, and help me get into Mass Com, my dream course ^^
Late le, and I've got work tomorrow. Bleh.
But it's still time to rejoice!
And I'm still deliriously happy (:
